SALARY REQUIREMENTS 


Candidates are invited to submit their salary expectations along with their application. The compensation for this role will be competitive and is aligned with industry standards, taking into consideration factors such as experience, education, and geographic location. The base salary range for this position is $90,418.20 to $145,755.69 (USD), exclusive of any discretionary bonuses and benefits. 


JOB DESCRIPTION 


MissionEdge Technologies is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and enhance complex software systems that power mission critical solutions. In this role, you will work on processing intensive analytics, innovative algorithms, large-scale data systems, real-time applications, and business management platforms. 


You will collaborate with a dynamic team (or work independently) to translate documented requirements into high-performing software solutions. Responsibilities include reviewing and testing code for design compliance, documenting results, resolving software issues, and applying modern development methodologies tailored to the environment. 


You will contribute to system-level design decisions, evaluating hardware/software tradeoffs, recommending COTS/GOTS solutions when appropriate, promoting software reuse, and transforming system requirements into effective software components. 


Minimum Required Qualifications: 


  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.   

  • Required Security Clearance:  Active TS/SCI + Polygraph 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. 

  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements. 

  • Experience debugging existing software and correcting defects. 

  • Experience in providing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards. 

  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features. 

  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments. 

  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 



Working Conditions: 


Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be given to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. 


Employees are required to notify management in advance of any plans to relocate out of state to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.

  

Physical Requirements: 


May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. 

  

Background Screening/Check/Investigation: 


Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
